Questions about GetGround

Is GetGround free?

Partly. GetGround's Basic plan is free, with MTD software, bookkeeping with bank feeds and its AI assistant. Company formation and accounting need Core, from £48 a month for one property, and lettings need Complete, from £198. Padlord is free for up to 3 properties.

Does GetGround work with Making Tax Digital?

Yes. HMRC's software finder lists GetGround as free software for UK property quarterly updates; the year-end return is filed by its tax team on Core. Padlord does not file: Plus exports a quarterly summary for your filing software or accountant.

What is a good GetGround alternative?

If you manage your own lets and want tracking without a service bundle, Padlord keeps each property's yield, cashflow, compliance dates and documents in one place. For MTD filing alone, HMRC's software finder lists other products. For company accounts, use a property accountant.

Can GetGround set up a limited company for buy-to-let?

Yes. On Core and Complete, GetGround forms the company, typically in 3 working days, with a business account and company secretary, then does the accounts and corporation tax. Padlord does not form companies, but its free calculator compares personal and company ownership.
